If part of you feels “broken”…

Written by: Nick Ortner

Say out loud (not to “affirm” it, but to “test” it):

“Part of me feels like I’m broken”

Does this resonate with you at all? If so, how strong is it in on a scale of 0-10? Saying “negative” beliefs out loud is a great way to “test” if they’re true for you or not. You can usually feel it in your body, or intuit if that belief is holding sway over you, and then use tapping to clear it.

If this belief felt true at all (and it will for all too many of us), then I’ve got a great little gift today for you, a free tapping meditation on the topic.

This meditation is meant to serve as a guide, to help clear the belief and to begin to open the inner dialogue around this topic. There are two things that will likely happen when you listen in:

A. You’ll identify some old wounds or traumas connected to that belief, which you can tap on either on your own or with a trained practitioner (in the case of deeper, more difficult issues)

B. You’ll identify that the belief itself might be holding back some healing. Sometimes healing the belief/releasing the “I’m broken in some way” identity can be just what the metaphysical doctor ordered. 😉

I hope you enjoy it, and please comment below the meditation and let me know your experience with it.

Until next time…Keep Tapping!

Just edited my previous comment that I had made the first time I listened to this.

I just listened to it again after going through a lot of emotional stress and I went from an 8 down to a 1.
This is truly amazing. Thank you so much.

    Dear Nick,
I have just done a meditation from your list on “feeling broken” and have found it to be probably to most powerful tapping session I have ever done!, but I have to admit that I have also procrastinated around tapping.
We lost a daughter a short while ago and I feel I am going backwards instead of forward.
This is greatly affecting my work. After doing this session just now I really feel that made an impact and I will promise myself to do this regularly till I feel ready to move onto the next topic.
    Thank you again
    Anthea

I almost didn’t do this exercise because I didn’t think I felt broken any more. After starting the exercise and getting well into it I was suddenly hit by two memories that I had forgotten were even there, memories about events that affected me very deeply and badly. I worked through the tears and the memories and finished the exercise and I know it worked. I have to tap through the two memories before trying the exercise again, and I’m eager to do it. This is an amazing tool for self healing. Thank you so much for your help.

    Thank you, Nick.

I went from a scale of 8 to a 2; feeling more whole in myself after EFT. This is despite a sleepless night, where I gave up & got out of bed because I was replaying past trauma. When I came downstairs, I did this tapping meditation & feel confident I’ll now sleep well – Alleluia!

I’m posting this in case it is of help to anybody: when I said, “Part of me feels like I’m broken”, it didn’t resonate at all. However, when I said, “Something in me feels unresolved”, it measured 10 on the 1-10 scale. Thanks for the meditation, Nick; I will continue to work with it. Blessings to all who read this.

Your instructions re: tapping arrived at such a crucial time in my Life…when I seemed absolutely ‘stuck,’ despite endless mental work/meditations to change things. As you described you once were too.

The particular session above, re: “part of me seems broken” is an exact quote of what I’ve told friends the last few months, in trying to explain my current ‘stuck’ dilemma.

**But most importantly, I’ve been wanting to add an insight I found (an ‘extra’ point) that I tap during my sessions. For me, I’ve found that immediately after I tap myself on top the head, my hand naturally moves down to the middle of the back of my head, and kind of taps/pops out what feels like the old programming from that spot (which seems to be behind the Amygdala)?

This may not work for others, but for some reason I instinctively feel it adds to MY tapping routine. Thought I’d offer it up…since your sessions are so generous, and giving in helping others.

    Thanks again.
    Best
