3 Critical Things for Healing

Written by: Nick Ortner

How many times have you gone to the doctor and been told…

“In order to get better, you’re going to have to find a way to reset your nervous system so that it recoups from the stress of regular life.”

Most likely… never! ๐Ÿ™‚

At most, doctors will say, “Of course stress affects your health,” as they write you a prescription for a drug.

Dr. Mark Hyman, one of the world’s leading Functional Medicine Doctors and 10-time New York Times Best-Selling Author, has a different opinion…

As he says, “There are three things that are critical for healing: it’s what you eat, moving your body, and learning how to reset your nervous system.”

And what does he recommend for resetting your nervous system…? Tapping of course! ๐Ÿ™‚

“Tapping is one of the most directed and powerful ways to peel those layers away of chronic stress. It’s very effective for very difficult problems.”

Is there a way to tap myself for the foot pain(which right now I put essential oils on) and muscle spasms.

    • Nick Ortner says:

I’m not sure I understand your question, Jean, but you can use Tapping for any kind of pain. If you’re aksing about physically tapping on the foot, there are meridian points on the foot, but we don’t use those in our tapping sequences. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi Nick, yes I agree that resetting our nervous system is very important for overall well-being. I had several stress-related physical ailments for years that many doctors I had gone to did not correlate at all to chronic stress affecting my nervous system. I discovered from going to a physical therapist the connection between doing specific kinds of exercises which reset the brainโ€™s signals to the nerves and muscles. I experienced relief from those simple exercises. I also attended yoga classes and learned that the yin, restorative and yoga nidra styles of yoga were very effective with destressing and activating the parasympathetic system. I then realized that my physical stressors were more easily minimized after just a few yoga sessions.

A couple years ago, I discovered your EFT tapping summit and have added tapping to my regular routine of helping to minimize mental or emotional stressors. It does help quite a bit with relieving anxiety as well as physical stress. I often only need to just tap the top of my head or the collarbone area or anywhere I feel stress in my body and that sometimes is enough to minimize the stressors. I enjoy listening to your guided tapping meditations and find them relaxing. I am very happy and grateful that I was able to learn about and utilize all these different simple methods for relieving stress

To Nick and Jessica. Thank you (!) for providing a method so astonishing in its simplicity and effectiveness in tying body, mind, spirit and emotions together. There seems to be a synchronicity of receptors sparked in a way that opens deep connections within. I benefit from these internal connections sometimes even outside my own consciousness just from the intention expressed, the naming of blocks with self-acceptance and the empowerment of visualizing the desired transformation within. What a great way to shut off the world and connect deeply with yourself. With much love, Danielle
