One of the things I’m most proud about in sharing Tapping with the world is that we’re not just talking theory or solely doing things online – it’s actually getting Tapping to the places that matter!
And one of the best places to share Tapping is in schools, with kids who need it the most…
Watch that happen before your eyes in this powerful video:
Another place that matters is your own home. So be sure to pick up a copy of my brother Alex’s Tapping for kids book, “Gorilla Thumps and Bear Hugs: A Tapping Solution Children’s Story”.
It’s great for bedtime reading and even has a Tapping exercise in the back to help your kids go to sleep. 🙂

5 out of 5 stars: I love love love this book
I love love love this book. I have just started learning about Tapping and thought What a great idea to teach my 9-year-old to do it too. The book was a hit with her she loved the story and animations as well as it made it so easy for her to learn how to Tap. I highly recommend it for every age level even adults. 🙂

Yes, the little boy I purchased it for loves reading it and does the tapping along with it…his mother has found him reading quietly by himself a number of times. He is only four years old!!!
5 out of 5 stars: This is a great book for teaching the whole family relaxation and self…
This is a great book for teaching the whole family relaxation and self care tools. With several pages of specific applications at the end. My 6-year old nephew got it for Christmas (from me:) and the whole family enjoys practicing Gorilla Thumps and Bear Hugs! So grateful for this book!
I just ordered Gorilla Thumps & Bear Hugs today! My so. Has been chewing on everything (sign of stress) so I’m counting on this to help!
It’s tough being an only parent…
That’s wonderful to hear, Natalie! I sure hope that it helps. I know it’s fun to read and go through the tapping exercises with my daughter. Parenting may seem tough now, but there will be a time in future when you wouldn’t have traded the experience for anything. Wishing you all the best! xo
I’d like to teach this to my 6 year old son to reduce stress & anxiety, but I’m not sure how to do it myself! I’ve watched video after video and can’t find any full length videos on how to do this with kids. Any guidance would be appreciated.
Hi Natalie! Have you picked up a copy of Gorilla Thumps & Bear Hugs yet? It has great exercises that walk both parents and kids through the Tapping process. You may also wish to check out the new Tapping for Kids videos here. 🙂
Hi i am a preschool teacher in Mombasa Kenya we have tapping session everyday in the morning during our opening circle it is doing wonders in my class. I have 4 children 2 of who are extremely hyper and two have low confidence what can i do to help them. age group is 4-5 years.
I am so happy to hear how you are incorporating tapping into your classroom! That is wonderful. Some issues take more time than others but giving the students a base of tapping and maybe catering it a little bit more to the 2 who seem hyper and have low confidence sometimes may help if they have any specific feelings they might like to tap on. Be kind and patient and just see what words you find them using so you can incorporate those into the group tapping. Just feeling heard will help them. If you haven’t yet signed up for the resources we offer for educators through The Tapping Solution Foundation, you may find them helpful to continue your work: http://www.tappingsolutionfoundation.org/educatorparent-corner/. I look forward to hearing how things progress for you. Wishing you all the best! xo
Thank you very much for your feed back, will follow your advice and let you know about the progress. Thank you once again.
I am from NZ, my grand-daughter (just 7) suffers from an extremely rare condition (STXBP1). She is developmentally delayed, non-verbal, suffers from seizures. She would not understand ‘tapping’, nor be capable of doing it. When she is going through a phase (around every 2-3 weekly) of seizures which are hourly, less and more for about 4 days or so, then disappear completely, and is extremely anxious and tense whilst awaiting the next seizure I wondered if I ‘tap’ her? Your thoughts?
Hi, Maria! Here is a comment from one of our members in the Tapping Insiders Club that may be helpful to you:
“Good Morning,
I have something wonderful to share. One of my career commitments is working with babies and young children with various special needs, both physical and cognitive as well as sensory, social/emotional and behavioral. One baby who just turned 1 however functions more at an 6-8 month old level was playing with me during a session. His mother was present. He suddenly got a funny look, a sideways stare. His mother informed me he was about to have a seizure which he is currently being treated for with medication. I stopped the session and within seconds I thought of tapping on him. I watched some videos on tapping for children so I felt comfortable and the mother said o.k. I began tapping on the negative reality finishing with I’m a great kid-at first the baby swatted me away a bit, then he relaxed, allowed me to continue tapping on all the points saying the statements. By the second round I went to the possibility of something better-letting the funny feeling of the seizure coming on go, imagining feeling better, seeing himself playing with me with all of his toys. His eyes flew open and all of a sudden he was fine-we finished the session and the seizure never actually happened. His mother then asked me about the points which I showed her and then told her about the tapping solution. She texted me later in the day to say she did the tapping on her baby 2 more times when she saw a seizure coming on and both times the seizure never happened. That’s 3 successful times in one day! So grateful and appreciative for this practice!”
Good day…
I am a counselor practicing in Pretoria, South Africa. I have firsthand experienced the amazing benefits Tapping has with my clients. I want to start introducing it into our schools here.
How do I go about?

My son hasn’t been suffering with anxiety for a number of years. He is afraid of so many things it is stopping him enjoying his life and being a kid. He is 9 years old. I also suffer from anxiety and would love to be able to implement tapping and share it with others.
I teach 2nd grade. How can I teach tapping to my second grade class?
Hi Pam! I’m so happy to hear that you’d like to learn more about bringing tapping into your classroom. Here are a couple resources that can help:

I love this video! Thank you Nick 🙂
Glad you liked it!
I went through your training for teachers several years ago and have added additional EFT tapping training as well.
Love to offer these skills and Mindfulness to K-5 in the local school district. Wonderful for children. Thank you for the initial training.
Beautiful work ! Inspiring.
Love it!
I have tried helping my 8 year old son with tapping, when he was feeling fearful, and anxious, which caused him headaches. And IT worked, … miraculously !! I want to learn more , how I can use tapping for children.
That is wonderful Meenal. We are so happy to hear how you were able to tap with your son. We have found kids and adults alike have learned tapping from the Gorilla Thumps and Bear Hugs book so if you don’t have that, that is always a great start. Also, you may enjoy Jessica’s surrogate tapping audio: https://www.thetappingsolution.com/blog/surrogate/. I have a grandson who has Cerebral Palsy and is in Special Education classes in middle school. I was wondering if you or anyone else has used Tapping to help this population of students? If so, how can someone help get you into these types of teachers and the parents as well?
Hi Bev. Although we don’t specialize in tapping for children in special education, we do hope that getting tapping into schools will help all of the children in schools. There may be people who already specialize in this. If you don’t find someone in the practitioner listings on our site https://thetappingsolution.com/eft-practitioners/, you may want to do an online search to see if there is someone you can speak with. Also, if you would like to learn more about getting tapping into schools, you can sign-up here http://www.tappingsolutionfoundation.org/tapping-teachers-students/ to find out more from The Tapping Solution Foundation. We wish you and your family all the best. 🙂
Wonderful, is the book translated in spanish? Am writing from Argentina!
Hi Barbara. Thank you for your interest in the book. It has not yet been translated into Spanish but we will see what we can do in the near future. 🙂
I love to see tapping in schools!
