The question was…
When you finally get a stretch of time off, what does your mind tend to do?
If you picked A, B, or C — you’re in very good company.
Most people assume that rest is something that just happens when you stop working. You close the laptop, you sit down, and your mind follows. But for a lot of us, that’s not how it works at all. The body stops, but the nervous system doesn’t get the memo.
That’s not a discipline problem or a mindset problem. It’s a biology problem. When your system has been running in high-alert mode — managing deadlines, anticipating problems, keeping everything together — it doesn’t automatically know how to shift gears. Rest has to be something you actively create, not just wait for.
That’s one of the things I find so powerful about Tapping. It gives your nervous system a direct signal that it’s okay to come down. Not a pep talk. Not a reminder to breathe. An actual physiological shift — one you can feel happening in real time.
And if D was your honest answer? That’s genuinely worth noticing. Whatever you’re doing, it’s working.
If you’d like some support making real rest actually feel like rest, the Tapping Solution App has hundreds of sessions designed to help you decompress, let go, and come back to yourself — wherever your day off takes you.
