Marketing Automation Coordinator

The Marketing Automation Coordinator role is accountable for executing and reporting on cross channel mobile App campaigns to increase engagement and retention for our rapidly growing community. This candidate will work with the product owner and other stakeholders to identify campaigns and tests across the mobile app User’s lifecycle journey, setup and run these tests, and analyze and report results in an organized and actionable manner.

The ideal candidate has a background in marketing automation tools, focused on execution of multi-step marketing communications, segmenting/targeting based on customer data and behavior, and enjoys technical problem solving.

Responsibilities

– Build and deploy highly personalized, triggered and automated email, push, and in-app communications within our marketing automation platform (Braze)
– Run A/B and multivariate tests, and analyze the experiments
– Analyze and report results from campaigns to drive continuous improvements and learnings
– Collaborate with stakeholders on backlog of lifecycle campaigns to prioritize and build out in Braze
– Provide weekly reports on the performance of marketing campaigns
– Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and parse through data on marketing campaigns

Qualifications

Required:
– Experience building and launching mobile marketing campaigns, ideally in Braze (formerly Appboy), or a similar platform
– High level of proficiency in technical campaign setup and segmentation
– Strong ability to interpret, evaluate and devise actions from campaign results along with the ability to present those results to various stakeholders.

Preferred:

– Experience with AppsFlyer preferred but not required
– Additional technical skills that are a plus but not required: ability to write liquid logic, SQL, and/or HTML
– Strong knowledge of best practices for email deployment practices, data, analytics, segmentation, list management, dynamic content, testing methodologies, deliverability, etc… a plus

– Very strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
– Ability to work independently, across multiple projects and timelines, and in a fast paced environment
– Proactive and able to take the lead, knowing when to ask questions
– Flexible amidst shifting priorities

– Scenario 1: If we wanted to run a new campaign for dormant App users who haven’t logged-in in a week, please give two suggestions of tests that you would run and explain your reasoning. Please be specific about the type of messaging (push/email/in-app), targeting considerations, and anything else you would think about in determining these tests.

– Scenario 2: Please explain two tests that you would run aimed at increasing conversion of unpaid subscribers to paid. Please be specific about the data points you’d need to track and determine if the test was successful.
