When are women not in transition? Whether it’s new motherhood, kids & teens, aging parents, a new job -we know how to go through the motions but what often needs a voice is letting go of an old identity and transforming into one that serves us now.
During our first session, you can share anything that you are going through and we will determine which aspects are creating the most intensity for you. I will preframe the basics of tapping for you based on your level of exposure to it. Complete beginners are welcome. Then we will proceed to create language around your circumstances as we tap through the aspects. Feel free to share, at any point during the tapping rounds, when more aspects or memories present themselves. I will keep my eye on the time to make sure we use proper closing sequences so that you feel safe leaving the session, and returning to your daily life.
I like to begin with a grounding technique after an introduction to allow the mental chatter to quiet down, and allow you to bring in more specifically what will serve you. Your goals are what drive the session and you will be held in unconditional positive regard. A typical session often looks like a beginning round of tapping to take the edge off, if necessary. Each tapping round will be on very specific aspects, and we will check in after each round to see what the intensity is. We will do several rounds and use a variety of techniques based on what comes up in a session. We will leave plenty of time to create a safe container for our work prior to the close of the session and end with a tapping round on your cognitive shifts and insights.
