Tapping for Thanksgiving Cravings and Anxiety

Written by: Nick Ortner

The holidays are coming!

This is either a joyous thought OR one that has you running for cover… (or a little of both maybe…)

One of the biggest stress factors we face is around the subject of food. What to eat, what not to eat, and how to make healthy choices without feeling deprived.

Jessica ran an amazing 7-week program on the subject of Weight Loss and Body Confidence, and recently, she shared a tapping meditation about food. This meditation includes making good choices while avoiding deprivation, and all the conflict that comes with that.

But today, we’ve pulled it out of the 7-week program to share it with you, for free!  It’s great audio that you can use for “Tapping for Thanksgiving!”

A little holiday gift for you. 🙂

Press Play to Listen to the Audio Below

Enjoy it, and Happy Thanksgiving! (or Happy Regular ‘Ole Thursday if you’re joining us from somewhere else around the world!) 🙂

Until next time…

Keep Tapping!

Nick

What was your experience? Are you looking forward to Thanksgiving? How can you make it a stress-free experience?

Thank you! I actually listened several days after the holiday, and the mention of the feeling of sluggishness really hit home! For two days I have been feeling that way–thinking that I was sick, getting nothing done. After this procedure, I am ready to continue cleaning up the Thanksgiving kitchen with energy and gratefulness! Again, thanks!

  14. Mary says:

I find tapping helpful, and I like the fact that it’s akin to acupuncture without the needles. I’m sure this “meditation” is appropriate for lots of people. Going off on a tangent: I find it amazing that fruit and vegetables are even “colour coded for us.”

  15. Lena says:

I’m recovering from some horrible flu and had not been able to eat for awhile. After tapping, my stomach relaxed and I’m enjoying my fresh juices and things that make me feel well. The session also relaxed me, in general, like coming home. Not too slow at all. Thanks and I know I’ll enjoy my “just another Thursday” much more. Will listen again.

  16. Harry says:

    what audio? try again.

  17. Coachb says:

Wow – What a way of getting grounded to allow yourself to enjoy the Holiday Season and Spirit beyond the food. Sometimes it is easier said then done. Tapping allows me to overcome the emotional craziness around food. Tapp away….

  18. annamarie says:

Nice, but too slow. Also, several times I had moved my hand away from the tapping point, but Jessica had only paused and was still continuing the phrase for the point. The phrase should be said all at once. Have a good one.

  19. Denice Roberts says:

This was wonderful. As usual hit several of my emotions around eating on the head. I plan to listen to it tomorrow morning also.

  20. Diane says:

Thank you Jessica and Nick for making this terrific holiday tapping routine available to all of us who struggle with so many addictions. I wish I could have seen your smiling face when you were tapping but that’s ok. Very relaxing and soothing.. Your voice is wonderful and so healing to listen to. I
hope wherever you and your family are going you have the best time ever. Keep shining your light, you are such an inspiration. This one hurdle remains to be my biggest life’s challenge. Beaten so many addictions thanks to tapping and my “food is my comfort” is the one that remains
