Hi there,
I’m currently reading the book but find it really difficult, in a house full of people, to do the tapping and most importantly talk aloud whilst doing it. I feel like a complete idiot sitting in my bedroom talking to myself. Can I do it without saying the phrases out loud?
Thanks, Matt
Hi Matt! I totally understand. You can indeed tap along while thinking the phrases in your mind. While verbalizing helps to acknowledge what we’re thinking, the goal is to really get in touch with the emotional aspects of the issues. It does take some getting used to, but just think, people sing to themselves at home or even talk out loud to themselves all the time. You can also get creative like tapping in the bathroom or the shower for more privacy. 😉
Thanks Nick! And thank you for sharing so much! I cannot afford to subscribe today but hope to eventually! I have just been dx. with Parkinson’s D. and would love to see some free guidances on living with diseases. On my App there’s only the same free five since I’ve downloaded the app. I can come up with my own words, it’s just comforting to be lead. Thanks in advance!
Hi Jan! Each category in the app has a free meditation and sometimes we make certain ones free for a limited time. I’d also suggest you join our Facebook group for the app. There are always people in there willing to share their expertise in all areas. 🙂
Thank you Jessica and Nick, you don’t know everything that has meant for me to access meditation tapping, it is really healing my life. Thank you, blessings.
I enjoy watching you Nick, you are so genuine in your caring and desire to assist. It is encouraging to hear and see so many people helped and feeling better. I admit I’m a person that puts off a lot of things. I always want to help others when I need to focus on myself. I’m learning to see that I am the one that I need to help, and others will be helped by that as well. You have taught me that by all the information I get from you. You have a real gift at such a young age. Thanks for all you do.
How do I tap for weight loss? I’ve gained about thirty pounds over the past few months. I’ve always exercised. Lately my motivation has disappeared and I’m not feeling confident anymore. Please help. I feel invisible.

Wondering if this will help my hubby. He has dreams, every night almost, where he is either running from someone or defending himself or someone. He kicks, he throws punches ( yes, I have been the recipient of them) and he will even fall off the bed. He has been through much trauma in his life before I met him. Tragic death of a sister, unexpected tragic death of a brother. Rejection growing up in the south during civil rights. Two failed relationships, one resulting in financial bankruptcy. Year long hospitalization when younger. Compromised immune system, high blood pressure. But is the nicest guy in the world!!! Would bend over backwards to help you.
I am pretty sure it will work for him. Where to start?
It sounds like your husband has been through quite a lot. Yes, tapping can certainly help. Whenever someone has dealt with trauma or abuse we highly recommend they work one-on-one with a practitioner so they can feel safe revisiting these moments and tapping to release the negative charge. Here is a link to practitioner listings on our site if he is interested in that: https://thetappingsolution.com/eft-practitioners/. You may find that doing some surrogate tapping for him will help: https://www.thetappingsolution.com/blog/surrogate/. Here are a couple of other resources as well: https://www.thetappingsolution.com/blog/eft-stress-relief-audios/, https://www.thetappingsolution.com/blog/use-movie-technique-audio-meditation/. Take it one step at a time and see how you both feel. We wish you both all the best.
Thank you, Nick! This video is very helpful. I had the same exact question as one of those that you answered here.
I’m looking forward to the next FAQ Video. ?
This video was in my ‘not read’ inbox but I NEVER erase or underestimate an email from Nick Ortner <3 Thank You Thank You, ALWAYS and FOREVER, Nick! You are so funny, caring and easy to understand. Very helful video at this moment for me. Love to you and your family. Namaste.
Great video. Gave me a boost to restart tapping and not give up!
A very helpful video. I love the idea about being a shining light. I am currently using EFT to help me rewire my brain out of chronic pain. EFT is a fantastic tool and I am having great results. It’s a long process because I have had this neck pain for over 15 years, but for the first time I am seeing changes, and I’m hopeful, not despairing. I have a strong belief in energy healing. Even the medical profession is starting to get it. Norman Doidge mentions EFT in his writings about rewiring the brain.
Thanks for your emails and videos, Nick. Keep ’em coming!
Great video. Thank you so much!
This is just what I needed to hear tonight – thanks Nick!
This relates to telling someone else about tapping. This happened to me with my sister. She had heard of tapping, but kind of poo-pooed it when I told her I was doing it and it really helped. However, all of a sudden her THERAPIST began using Tapping with her. She changed her mind and now listens more to what I have to say!
Also, want to thank Nick for his very generous “free” videos and what he has done with his charity – sometimes simple is better. Congrats on all of your success. You deserve it. Goes for your sister too.
Nick, that was a great video, great choice of background. My question is I have known and practiced every now and the tapping, do you have any suggestions on how to make it a habit so I can incorporate it more into my life. Keep up the amazing work thank you so much for all you do.
Thanks so much for deciding to make these FAQ videos. It´s soooo very helpful to remind me to just keep at my “tappable” stuff and not give up. I appreciate so very much the work you have been doing and continue to do!
Thank you so much for bringing this into the awareness of many people that would not have heard/known about tapping. Thank you for the energy & effort you have put into this field and keep up the great work, it is very, very appreciated!
Suzette
“Be the light”, love it. It’s sometimes hard to curb our enthusiasm when we’re excited about a process that works and we so want others to have great results too (which is something we can also tap on :), but leading by example, or “being the light” really is the best way to get people interested. Thank you Nick for “being the light.”
Great video! Thanks, Nick.
Hi Nick! Yes – I loved your Q&A and need more! Have you heard of the autoimmune condition polyarteritis nodosa? I can’t seem to find the emotional roots and I need to know I’m not alone in believing it can go away as mysteriously as it appeared several years ago. Please feature this issue! Also mitral valve prolapse – I’m sure there are many others dealing with MVP and I sure would love to hear a success story! Thanks so much! Stephanie
