Pain Relief

Have You Ever Felt Like You Didn’t Fit In?

Written by: Nick Ortner

Have you ever felt like you didn’t fit in? Or that you weren’t enough?

Maybe you felt rejected by your mother, father, or other family member, by friends or even by complete strangers, and felt the hurt of that deep inside?

If so, (and if not, I may be writing this post to a being from another planet!) I want to share an extremely moving and powerful video with you that was filmed during one of our Tapping Experience live events. In this video, you’ll get to watch and tap along as I work with Joanne on stage.

Joanne, like all of the other participants, came to get relief from physical pain. But as you’ll see in the video, whenever we tap on any issue, whether it be physical pain, weight, finances, relationships, or anything else, the core of the issues tend to go much deeper than just one topic.

Before you watch the video, I have two warnings for you:

#1 – This video is very moving, so have a tissue box ready. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house at the event during this, especially with what happens at the end. I won’t spoil what happens – you’ll want to see this for yourself.

#2 – I know that some people are offended by strong language. There is one point in the clip where both Joanne and I swear, not just for the sake of it, but with a very specific purpose as you’ll see. I just thought I would warn you so that you are prepared and not offended (and in case kids are in the room!). 🙂

Click on the video below to watch now. And after you watch, please leave your comments of support for Joanne and what insights you gained from watching this. She was extremely courageous for getting up on stage and sharing her story. I hope that her courage inspires you as well.

If you’d like some relief from pain (both physical and emotional) then I highly recommend you check out our Tapping Solution App!

With over 150 meditations to choose from across 15 different categories (and counting!), there’s something in there for everyone. 🙂

Until next time…

Keep Tapping!

Nick Ortner

Brought up for me being unofficially in a childrens home and suffering abuse from a caretaker – like having scalding water beng poured on the back of my head by a slow learner or special needs child , and other things by a caretaker. It seemed as if we (my sister and I) had no one to turn to and while it was my parents who left us there, while my mother was on holiday – it was like the children officially there who were quite rough reported us when we werent doing anything wrong – it was as if this caretaker wanted to put us below them – and we werent supposed to e there so who could we speak to. I can see how this has repeated in my situation now – ie left by my husband who was quite wealthy and having people put me down instead of help keep us at the status my children and I we should be at – with the authorities having been abusive. I took back my power and the pictures were just photo graphs while I pulled the energy back I also pulled my self and my little sister back into my adult body and alongside me to make us safe and look after us as we ought to have been and give us enablement to be and do and ask for what we want

  2. Cherune Clewley says:

Joanne, watching you move through this, and seeing the transformation in you was wonderful. I understood your pain and the fact that the hurts from childhood haunt us all through our adult lives. How brave you were on stage. Keep Tapping, I am.

  3. Alicia says:

I loved seeing Joanne’s breakthrough moment and then, the icing on the cake; she got asked to dance! I felt so proud of her for saying yes. Such a raw, real moment, so glad she allowed it to be shared!

  4. Janet Siciak says:

Joanne, I wish I were closer than a computer chair in the middle of Massachusetts. Your story touched me deeply. How brave and worthy you indeed are. You are obviously very sensitive, thoughtful and self-aware. So am I (she said, humbly…). In spirit,I was tapping along with you, substituting a different name when you mentioned your Dad, and holding a different picture in my mind. I’m certain there are many viewers who did the same; those who, like us, have been scarred by the pain of rejection. I wanted you to know how grateful I am that you were willing to put your fears on the line, because you and Nick both helped me realize that I, too, am worthy. Even though on the surface I appear competent in most areas of my life, I have spent most of my life feeling as though I had to “pretend” and hide the real me. I had no courageous Pinky Toe. But now, thanks to you and Nick, I am becoming more comfortable planting both feet firmly on the ground and revealing more of my “true” self to others. What a relief to be able to share genuine feelings. I am finding that the more I respect and love me, the more attractive I become, and though I’m far from skinny and blonde, I’m surrounded by loving, caring, accepting people who are willing to take me as I am and love me in spite of my flaws. And special thanks from my pinky toe who is no longer a loser, to yours. Nick and Alex, you ROCK. Tap on!!!

  5. rosalie Cryan says:

Joanne, It was so beautiful watching you dance.

The insight I gained is that I too am angry at my father for not saving me from an abusive mother. I tapped right along with you and thought letting your pinky toe speak was brilliant.

  6. Janice Creed says:

I loved this and yes, I did cry. I believe we all have issues pertaining to events in our childhood. Our parents may not have intended harm but few of us grow up wound-free (even our parents). It was good to tap along with this session and it was especially wonderful to see the transformation of Joanne as she released that pent-up emotion. At the end of the session when she spoke to the camera, we were really able to see her strong and confident self that we saw glimpses of, through her pain, prior to the tapping she did with Nick. Well done Joanne (I wish you continued healing and success) well done Nick, and well done Alex.

  7. neeta desai says:

Tons of thanks to Nick and Joanne.

Sorry for some spelling mistakes, learning to use tablet.

  8. Neeta desai says:

    HI Joanne,
It was great to see u tapping, dancing and relaxing at the end,! Hope u soon get rid of all your pain – physical and emotional.

I am dealing with few physical problems, too. Having seviour pain in forearms is number one at the moment.. I have been doing tapping since few weeks for it on and off. But pain comes back. When i was tapping along wit watching your vedio, i realised i have been very angry with some people. I was in tears while
E releasing anger and pain. I feel good now, my hands are realxed for now.

    Lots of love,

  9. Janet says:

    Joanne,

You are an inspiration to me! I had issues with my father when I was growing up, too. I was never good enough. I have a lot of shame around acting out on these feelings when I became a young woman. I went from man to man trying to please them, but now I realize I was only trying to please my father. I also spent many years trying to be a “fixer” to all the men I met.

I had a sister who always outdid me as well. She always was the one who got asked to dance. It didn’t matter how thin or pretty I was or what I was wearing. She got so many more dates and had so much more fun than me.

I have a lot to work on. I just ordered Nick’s book and video, and I can’t wait for them to arrive.

Thank you for being so courageous and sharing your story.

  10. Diana says:

Joanne, you rock! I’m glad you’re working on the issue of feeling like you’re not good enough. I wrestled with it myself for many years, so I DO know what it feels like. You gave me the incentive to work more on the issue of this on myself because I live with physical pain/fibromyalgia on a steady basis…probably due to residual feelings of unworthiness (not feeling good enough). Your tapping session made me cry, but I see now there is hope. Nick & Alex are angels is diguise.

  11. Baarbara says:

Thank you both for showing the possibility of releaseing deep, spirit killing experiences.

  12. Kath Parker says:

I wish Joanne every happiness for the future, & it proves to everyone that it is not just physical pain than can be helped. Thank you. my book’s are on the way wish they were here now.

  13. Hello Joanne you are lovely person, so warm and kind says:

Joanne leave it behind I am sure that you are going to have a great life now
    best wishes
    Maria

  14. Joseph Ricchini says:

The ending brought tears to my eyes and delight to my heart. Joanne was indeed courageous to reveal so much and to allow us to witness it. Her transformation came across as being very authentic. And I marvel at Nick gentle and compassion approach. His has mastered the tapping technique and exhibited genuine compassion.
It was very moving to watch

  15. Lynn says:

I tapped along and replaced it with my trauma as a child and cried and cried. Feel so much better now. I didn’t realize the anger I had towards my kindergarten teacher from sixty years ago which left me with a terrible phobia all through my life. I’m hoping if I keep tapping I can have a better life now. Thanks Nick

  16. Craig G says:

Very moving. Huge respect for Joanne and Nick. Took me back to my fathers anger and impact it had on me. Thanks for the opportunity to release some of this.

  17. Helen Whelan says:

Well done Joanne, inspiring stuff watching you courageously confronting your demons. I am delighted that it helped you as it gives me hope that the tapping solution will also help me and others.
I have very similar issues and am encouraged by you and Nick to confront them while using this amazing technique.
    Best wishes,
    Helen

  18. Joanne Bradley says:

Terrific segment! I tapped and used the coaching on myself and removed an incident from 6t grade when I was “the last one chosen for a team:\”. It has haunted me for all the years off and on. I can see how it influenced me throughout my life especially while growing up. It is much less powerful now. Thank you so very much for sharing this with me. I value your communications.
    Gratefully, and with Angel Blessings,
    Joanne Bradley

  19. Maricela says:

That was very INTENSE, very strong and educational. I loved IT!!!! Great results, great work, and Great Dancing!!A life long positive experience for Joanne. I know that I also have felt being “not enough”–first husband told me that “whatever I did, it would NEVER be enough”. I too have felt that noose around my neck and trough Jessica’s wt. loss tapping program I am learning I AM MORE THAN ENOUGH… still have a lot of work ahead of me, but have noted more peace, and I can feel the energy moving around more. I am very sensitive to things around me because I cry, burp, yawn, and feel a release. I just started wk. 4 of the program with NO wt. loss, but I am taking my baby steps forward UNTIL I reach my goal. Thank you and Jon Gabriel that got me started with his free 21 wt. loss session that he made available. Now , I am hooked on tapping, Thank you.

  20. Lauren says:

I have also struggled with my lack of confident due to my father’s disapproval, and even distractions brought to my life..I am encouraged to tap through my anxiety, anger and fear to gain peace and harmony with my Dad as part of Father’s Day gifts to him. Thank you for sharing;)

    Lauren

  21. Debbie says:

Congratulations, Joanne! I went through this with you (here at home). My situation was similar so this really resonated with me. I am so happy you were able to do this. The difference in your face from the beginning to the end was very noticable. While you were talking in the final couple minutes, it appeared you’d lost about 10 years. Rejoice in your new-found freedom!

  22. CArol says:

Joanne i feel so moved by your courage to stay with the painful process to completion there on stage and blown away by Nick’s skill in working with you. He is an artist.
Your face in the end was glowing and more alive than at the begining of the session. I feel your strength , faith and hope ingnited . Dance onwards in the dance of life.
    Blessings
    Carol

  23. Kamla Hari says:

    Joanne was soooo INSPIRATIONAL.
Hearing her comments afterwards you could sense that she had changed somewhat…you just knew she was in a better place for herself . It took her a lot of courage and when she said the swear word…well that was HUGE!
As you Nick, started Joanne tapping, all of a sudden I started feeling emotions welling up inside of me.
I started crying…I have been doing the tapping since I saw you Nick appear with Hayhouse newsletters, so have been tapping forever and including with the last summit.
I know, with all my VARIOUS life issues, that the Tapping has helped me transform my life.
It is awesome not to carry so much Anger around, and you Nick…and Jessica and all the other speakers have helped me profoundly

  24. Roseline says:

    So empowering….so courageous….well done

  25. Mandy Dickinson says:

How brave she was to do and say all that in front of so many people. I identify with her feelings of not being worthy, so it was so helpful to me to know that I too might be able to help myself by tapping. I just wish I had a Nick Ortner in my life! Apart from being such a lovely guy, he’s gorgeous!!!

  26. Mary Lee says:

Giving her a new experience was the best part!!!!! Kudos to you!!!

  27. Deborah says:

Thanks to Joanne for her courage in sharing this video. It is inspiration to see Nick at work. For all the ways in which you share your healing gifts, thank you ever so much.

  28. Chaya Rubens says:

This is really special and touching and made me cry. Joanne you are a very brave lady to open up publicly like that. I tapped with you and now feel better for you and myself.
    Thank you for this experience.

  29. Carmen says:

Thank you so much for sharing this! It helps me seeing myself in Johanna, facing and trascending my painful memories. It helps me seeing myself in Nick, helping others trascending their own memories (I’m a therapist). And it helps me seeing myself in Alex, helping another person just in a simple way with something I know. I’m tapping daily and using tapping with the people I work with, witnessing amazing results. How can something so simple be so powerful? Thank you for inventing – discovering- sharing this tool with the rest of the world! God bless you all!

  30. Joanne says:

WOW, Joanne! We share and spell our names the same so I felt very much connected with you as I have my own personal trauma from years ago and now feel I missed a good portion of my life being prisoner to myself. My Dad said it to me best one day, “You’re a tiger on the outside but a kitten on the inside”. I’m softening and the walls are coming down with a lot of help from counseling, energy healing and now into Nick’s Tapping. I wondered if you would ever say what you were thinking and was so happy you could whisper the words to Nick as I found speaking aloud what’s haunting/hurting you is a powerful release. You’re on your way to a better future, Joanne, for this. The dance with Alex gave me goose bumps and I couldn’t stop smiling as I knew this was a moment of transformation! Your helping yourself, also helped me. Blessings to you; go in confidence and inner healing!

  31. Susanne says:

I am so grateful to having had the opportunity to watch this wonderful transformation take place. And I am so happy on behalf of Joanne. It like watching her soul being set free and spread her beautiful wings. Thankyou to Joanne, Nick and Alex and all who have made this possible.

  32. Carolyn says:

So many comments, and I have nothing particularly new to add. This is the first time I’ve seen you in action Nick, but you helped me so much through a similar trauma with my own father on a call-in recently. This video really helped me get deeper into my anger, which I’ve never been able to really express toward my father. Joanne, you were so beautiful up there, being so authentic and courageous. And it was so lovely to see you dance. Alex, I never met you but your gift to Joanne was so sweet and so gentle. I know it will be a memory she holds in her heart for the rest of her life. All present, including the incredibly supportive audience, were stellar. THANK YOU Nick and the Tapping Solution team for being there for so many amazing people. Love you all!

  33. Anne Ligthart says:

Great. Loved it. I work with tapping now, in my practise as a psychotherapist, and more than anything I was noting and learning from how Nick works. I will play it a few times, to learn how he works with it and keep learning.

I am having great results with it, many. Thank you Nick for showing this film. I am excited about using Tapping to help my clients get over their ‘edges’.

I am also doing it with my clients in my second job, which is a therapist in heroin addiction. This is also having profound results, and I am very excited about that too.

    Thank you,

    Anne
    (Melbourne Australia.)

  34. Renie says:

Joanne, when you danced you looked absolutely radiant! And you are an awesome dancer, so graceful! I have been thinking about dancing lately, and you have inspired me to try…thank you, beautiful person!

  35. carla says:

Ok, I tapped along with the video, oh I am new to all of this, and on the second set my right pinky toe started hurting. Before Nick talked about the right pinky toe..???

  36. janet says:

Joanne, you did it! Congratulations! You tapped on your pain and allowed yourself to be freed from what has bound you for years and years! Your face was transformed when you really saw and felt you were stronger than you thought or expected. Keep on tapping!

  37. Claudia says:

Hi Joanne – congratulations for being so bold and brave, it was awesome timing for you to drop this huge weight. Your support was immense, and I am so glad you were amongst so many compassionate people.
    Sending love and grace, Claudia

  38. Jane says:

What pain she was in. My heart went out to her. Her whole life was on that stage and she kept going and Nick, you helped her keep going deeper. And wow, when Alex danced with her it was transforming her right there. I could see it happening.

In the post interview the changes were significant. Her speech was stronger and it looked like she shed years of stress.

Thank you for all you do.

  39. Rose says:

I wish my grandson could use this to clear his anger caused by his stepfather.

  40. Jo says:

Joanne, your story was inspiring. It really is amazing how tapping can put things into perspective and help you move on. All the best for the future x

  41. Yvonne Fraser says:

I felt this lady’s pain but how wonderful to see how she responded so differently at the end of her session with Nick. Congratulations Joanne, keep going. Inspirational. Have many issues surrounding my own childhood but have jut been introduced to tapping, and hoping I can clear some of my issues slowly like yourself. Good luck for the future Joanne. Love, light and peace from Yvonne.

  42. Tânia Vazquez says:

Joanne congratulation! you dance very well, was very beautiful. If you can dream you can do it! 😉

    Kisses from Portugal (Oporto)

  43. carrie says:

I don’t know that I have ever seen so much COURAGE from anyone before. I hope you can receive that and embrace that as your own. Thank you for enriching me because of that courage. It is a special gift you gave to us all! In your process, I am wondering if I still have a bit of unresolved issues with my dad. I have worked on that actually for several years, but a picture came to me that I still feel pain about and underneath is quite likely anger. I am going to tap through it with you. Thank you so much and happy tapping to you!

  44. Kate says:

Very inspiring. I love watching Nick work on people do how easy it is to release stuff.
Just have to keep on tapping!

  45. Catie McDonald says:

This video was amazing. I am so humbled to have discovered tapping from both Nick and Jessica, and now I have also seen Alex. I am a hairdresser (with a BS in Applied Psychology) in Colorado. I have been blessed with a unique ability to help people feel good about themselves, and tapping has taken it even farther. I am about to embark on a new journey with a few friends in tapping for weight loss with Jessica’s new book. Thank you so very much. I hope i am able to become certified someday, and hopefully some day soon.

  46. Echo says:

You are so brave, Joanne. I hope this leads to a wonderful new dimension in your life. Thanks for sharing.

  47. Marilyn says:

Joanne, you can be really proud of you!!!
Nick and Alex, thank you for being so wonderful!
