Welcome to my podcast – Adventures in Happiness! Join me each week, as I take you on a journey exploring strategies and ideas to help you feel your best. Life is an adventure, and it would be boring if it was always perfect and predictable! In this adventure, I am joined by Mary Elizabeth Williams to talk about her own experience with cancer, healing, and hope…
“You have stage 4 cancer,” these were words that established writer, Mary Elizabeth Williams never thought she’d hear. With slim hopes of survival, she was introduced to a breakthrough new treatment, immunotherapy. We dive into this scientific breakthrough as well as the emotional experience of cancer. It’s estimated that 1 in 3 people will experience cancer in their lives. Most people know of someone who has or who has had cancer. We explore how to best support those around you who have this diagnosis.
I agree whole heartedly with Mary Williams I have secondary breast cancer, and when trying to remain positive, my body and mind were saying be angry, cry, say when you don’t feel you being heard, through the use of energy medicine, in which I include Tapping, Jess your great meditations, visiting shamans, self healing reiki, allowing time to rest, de, cluttering people as well as objects, was all very cleansing, there were times I could cheerfully ring someone’s neck, when they were “oh look on the bright side or think about what you have” at the time I wanted to be selfless, it was about me and recognising my feelings and allowing them to happen, flow, then working on the positive, I still have good days and not so good days. But that is life not cancer, it’s amazing how many people don’t want to talk about it, as if by doing so they may, not like what you have to say, and if they don’t that’s their stuff not mine, thanks for this great opportunity to listen and learn, and express let’s keep on tapping love n light xxx
