Because our brains have the capacity to be complex, sometimes we tend to over-complicate things. π
For example, due to our own individual experiences, we’ve each developed our own “Rules of Life” based on the beliefs we’ve concluded to be true about the world we live in.
This set of rules could be hundreds of enumerated items long just by itself, not including exceptions, ultimatums, contingencies, and probably tens of thousands of “if this, then that” statements. Lol!
Today, I want to help simplify this list by sharing with you my 5 Simple Rules for Life which are guaranteed to apply to every person on the planet. π
1. Be kind to others. Know that other people are doing the best they can with the resources they have.
2. Be kind to yourself. YOU are doing the best you can with the resources you have.
3. Never stop growing and striving for more from yourself.
4. Be willing to let go and FORGIVE yourself and others.
5. SMILE! Itβs all working out as itβs supposed to. π
Today, see if you can live by even just one of these rules. I promise your day will transform when you hold this simple intention!
And if you need some help with developing Forgiveness, Kindness, or Happiness, be sure to check out The Tapping Solution App for specific tapping meditations on these topics, along with over a hundred more!
Until next time,
Keep Tapping!
Nick Ortner
grateful
Gratitude is indeed so powerful, Nancy. π
Smile and the world smiles with you.
Laugh and the world laughs with you.
Weep and you weep alone.
This is what I think is right.
Thanks for sharing, Tina. Smiling and laughing more is always a good rule to maintain. π
Those are my rules too, besides loving God with all my heart!
π
I love the 5 simple rules…I live each day grateful, for what the day brings, and ,try to fit in some energy work each day,and start each day with my simple prayers, and end each day with them…x
Love it, Roberta! π
All essential rules. So powerful to keep them in our frontal lobe everyday. I use them all but I also try not to judge. That is key. Judgement can make a flower a weed or a weed a flower.
Well said, Kristi. π
Be your authentic self.
Tell the truth.
Don’t sweat the small stuff.
Always great ones to remember, JoAnne. π
Be present (in the moment) with everyone at all times, including myself when alone.
Awesome, Ron!
Lerean to listen to other /Do not jage other .
Tray to create eye contact
Good ones, Ora. π
i pray and play.
Love it, Leonor!
Nick, always so accurate! Love your simple five rules. For me the one simple rule is: Gratitude 24/7!!! It keeps me feeling great when I’m happy and it keeps me feeling happy when life gets serious.
That’s a great rule, Marisol! π
I agree with your list. And, I believe that what lies under all those kindnesses is having love from your heart come first. With any situation. With all situations. If not love the the person, place of thing, then love above all else for yourself. In other words, be kind to yourself. Send that inner critic outside to watch the door, or kick a ball!
π
All is ONE. There is no OTHER. Nature & Sentient Beings are ALL ONE
π
Love and Be Grateful!
Wonderful! π
We have been going through some difficult times financially and tapping has helped me remain calm and open to new ideas. Thank you so much
You are very welcome, Michael! I’m glad Tapping is helping you through. It certainly did for me as well! π
I try to treat others as I would like to be treated.
That’s a great one, Maryanne. π
To quote Van Wilder: “Don’t take life too seriously; you’ll never get alive.” And don’t forget to Live, Love, Laugh.
π
Thank you, Nick!
π
1.1. Choose to be happy, regardless of your circumstances.
1.2. If you are not having fun, you are not doing it right. Whatever “it” is that you are doing.
2.0. Troubles? Check your mindset! It is the only thing you really have control over. (Hence the importance of Tapping!)
I think my mind can be a valuable thing to waste!
I think we can come from a loving place and forget about the mind. All that chatter mostly comes from long held beliefs from childhood. Until we dive deep to find out whether those are of valve anymore, we will remain stuck in those beliefs.
If we can tap into our intuition we will come from an inner place instead of something we heard as children.
Great ones, Valanne. π
There is always time for kindness.
Very true, Susan. π
Can’t Nick! I have TWO: 1. Smile and hug someone every chance you get.
2. When you’re feeling low, count your blessings…and Tap!
Those are great, Maggie!
Nothing is either good nor bad but thinking makes it so!
One of my favorites. Directly from Hamlet but let’s hope with a better outcome.
A little Shakespearian wisdom is always a good thing. π
Excellent
π
Moderate your (my) behavior
π
What goes around comes back around. Be careful how you treat everyone because whatever you put out is always always coming back to you.
Watch out for that karma. π Thanks for sharing, Joan!
Dear Nick I practice this i am living as this the point is
HOW MY LIFE KEEP GOING SO INCOMPLETE SO FULL OF DOUBTS AND QUESTIONS AND FEELING NOT FULLFILLING?
It’s a great question, Joao. But I feel that the only person who can answer it is you. π Tapping helps us to go deeper to find meaning and answers to these powerful questions.
Relax… life is your friend
π
Assume positive intent.
Do not confuse behavior with intention.
Love those, Christine!
I do all 5, because i live myself β€οΈ
π
Love and listen as if your life depended on it!
Good one, Sarah! π
I am now 76. My mother died in 1989 aged 82. She left this 4-line note for me “Life is mostly froth and bubble, Two things stand out like stone, Kindness in another’s trouble and Courage in your own”
That is beautiful. She must have been a remarkable woman.
Now THAT is true Wisdom. Thank you for sharing those inspiring words. She must have been an amazing person. May God Bless her AND you and all yours (as we say in the Virgin Islands). Angel hugs!
Beautiful, Colin. π
“don’t believe everything you think” π
Great, Joyce!
To let go and enjoy the journey.
Love it, Krystal!
“Focus forward and move on. You’ll never get where you need to be by looking backward”
That’s a good one, Jim. π
Hello and good morning,
I’m so very interested In learning about tapping , for myself & my 17 year old teen. Unfortunately I’ve just ended a 20 year marriage and there are many events that have become a bit difficult to deal with. In a very strong young lady but I am only human. I’ve been looking to try to find a person that both my son & I could learn about tapping from. I’ve had no luck. I’m not the type to learn from cd’s etc I need to actually be able to meet with someone who is experienced in this and could use your help finding someone.
I live in rockland county New York- can go into NYC if need be_
New Jersey area- or any other location within reason. Please we really need some help as it’s been such a horrific last couple of years and my son most of all VΓ’n certainly brntfuf from this before going off to college to study abroad in Israel. Thank you, best gayle

Hi Gayle! I feel for your situation. It can be tough to go through those parts of life. I’d recommend checking out our Practitioner’s Page to look for someone to work with, or you can simply google EFT Practitioners in your area. Big hugs to you! xo
