This week, I’m preparing for what is one of the greatest honors I’ve ever been given, an invitation to speak on Friday night at the Hay House “I Can Do It!” event in Orlando, during their tribute to Wayne Dyer.
In preparation, I’ve been diving deep back into Wayne’s material, as I did so many years ago.
Just last night, I was listening to an audio program of his called, “It’s Never Crowded Along The Extra Mile,” within which he shared the story of the “Peace Pilgrim”, who, from 1953 to 1981, walked more than 25,000 miles on a personal pilgrimage for peace.
Wayne shared these 10 “symptoms” of Inner Peace* and I found them simple, moving, really quite extraordinary. Find out what the 10 “symptoms” are here and see if YOU are experiencing any of them… 🙂
1. A tendency to think and act spontaneously rather than on fears based on past experiences
2. An unmistakable ability to enjoy each moment
3. A loss of interest in judging other people
4. A loss of interest in interpreting the actions of others
5. A loss of interest in conflict
6. A loss of the ability to worry
7. Frequent, overwhelming episodes of appreciation
8. Contented feelings of connectedness with others and nature
9. Frequent attacks of smiling
10. Increased susceptibility to the love extended by others as well as the uncontrollable urge to extend it
Congratulations on being invited to speak at Dr. Wayne Dyer’s Tribute. I believe he is still active and we enjoy many of his recordings as well as his movies. I bought your book and DVD,” The Tapping Solution”and am taking training on EFT as a result. I have experienced a few of the “Symptoms” but sadly not consistently and it is good to see them listed so clearly. With the help of EFT I am working on my experiences and will spread the help as the opportunity arises. I most frequently experience symptoms 1, 5, 7, and 8 on your list.
Thank you for your efforts.
You always inspire me. My journey has been challenging for sure but I am now in a place where I can release the traumatic past and embrace the here and now. You are so open and sharing. I am happy to have found you! When I read what you have to say it touches me. I know I found you at just the right time.
With fond regards from Ronnie
I have been working on loss of interest in judging others. It is helping me to have compassion and a sense of peace and connection. It is teaching me a lot about myself and remembering that we are all spirits having a human experience and to look at what my issues are if I am having a reaction to someone else. I want to copy this list, and put it up on my wall for myself and my family. Thank you for this gift. Blessings.
I just put this list on my desktop so I can be reminded of it every time I turn on my computer. I especially like the one re the loss of interest in interpreting the actions of others. I really need to work on that one!!!
I must say am bery sensible in both #1 & 10
Thank for this list Nick. It is a good one!!
I was grateful of the opportunity to know that I have experienced most of the “symptoms” listed.
I just met Dr. Wayne. I didn’t know him prior to his death. I thank him daily for showing up I thank him daily for his presence in my life. I learn daily from the paradox in everything. I learn daily from the signs. Thank you too for all the wakening
thank you for the list and your words! Congratulations on being one of the participants in Fri.
night’s memorial, commemorative celebration of Wayne Dyer’s life. I will be out at that time until 8:00 or so, but will rush home to catch what I can of it. Will you consider streaming it for a couple days for those of us who can’t watch it????
I am into Tapping and it has helped me. Also a Course in Miracles.
I can count off 5 of the 10 on your inner peace list…and the rest are coming along!! ?
Hope Friday is wonderful!
Please consider streaming it for some of us who can’t watch it!
Love,
Pat
I am experiencing gratitude for the wisdom and teachings of Dr. Wayne Dyer. I listen daily to his 101 Ways to Transform Your Life. Wonderful tidbits that help me set an intention for the day and to stay grounded and connected.
I love Wayne’s list of *symptoms* and am happy to realize that I exhibit many of them. I think if More People were to focus on and develop More of these *symptoms*, there would be More Inner Peace, More Connection, and therefore More Compassion in our world for One Another and for the Planet!!! : )
I know that a burst of thankfulness brings about peacefulness.
I love the 10 symptoms of inner peace. I am not there, but hope to be at some point.
I think it is so great that you are speaking during the Wayne Dyer tribute! I wish I could be there. I have watched the excerpts of your interviews with him. You are definitely someone who should be speaking there.
The topic is wonderful. It has been my quest all my life and i am sure we all are in search of inner peace and we would be less concerned about material acquisitions if we had it.
Do I have it ? I wouldn’t claim to–permamnetly. However, I relate to all ten of the items on the list and I recognize them as my experiences from time to time. I think that shows that inner peace is possible even if we are not so fortunate as to live in it perfectly all the time.
Wayne had me hooked completely from Your Erroneous Zones…..I, my mom, daughter, and youngest son have been devoted fans for years. We were so sad to read he had gone onto his next adventure…..There was 5 days difference in our age, so I always felt connected. I see him smiling down from heaven everyday and night…..I think he surrounds and guides us still, just in a limitless form…..So glad you are sharing all of his works and boundless love.
i am on my way as i feel many of them
Thank you Nick, for sharing your heart messages in regard to acknowledging the impact of Wayne Dyer’s guidance and continued presence in our lives.
I am so glad to hear that You will be a part of giving tribute to Wayne’s legacy.
You give me encouragement to ignite inspiration – every time you speak of Wayne and share with us, your connection to him.
I would feel honoured if you are able to share any part of what you experience – during and after the Hay House tribute to Wayne.
I don’t! So much hapoened this year! I have no inner peace or happiness
What symptoms of Inner Peace are you experiencing? Share below!
Great article!
1. Ability to be in the “Present’ moment while doing any activity, may it be as simple as brushing my teeth, doing dishes or as complicated as managing client projects!
Loved all 10 and I am on 9+! In fact, I was not aware, that they existed within me! Thanks for enlightening me!
I LOVE it…
Have thoroughly enjoyed and benefited from your website and Jessica’s stress meditations.
I purchased your course, but have not had time to “attend” it yet. I look forward to doing so in the future. Thanks for all you do.
Thank you for sharing them. Blessings.
I wish I felt all of them so much more. I’ll never give up trying. Thank you Nick. I love everything you post.
Thank you for sharing this list. I’m definitely experiencing the symptoms of inner peace on a consistent basis. I appreciate you posting this list and your upcoming tribute to Wayne Dwyer.
