Tapping Meditation: Unlock Your Creativity

Written by: Nick Ortner

Nick Ortner QuoteI’ve got a free Tapping Meditation for you today that will be particularly useful if either of these two scenarios applies:

  1. You’re a writer, artist, or creator, and feel STUCK. (My friend Arielle Ford credits a 15-minute Tapping session she did with me to unlocking a whole book for her.)
  1. You don’t think you’re a creative person, or perhaps that your work demands creativity which you don’t have. Well, not to be too blunt… but you’re wrong on both accounts.

You ARE creative! You just haven’t unlocked it. And today’s work, regardless of what it is you do, demands creativity.

Creativity isn’t just about painting a picture or writing a book – it’s about opening your mind to thinking differently, to seeing different ways of fixing problems, and finding solutions.

So, based on those two scenarios… I think you’ll find this meditation useful.

It’s my gift to you today because I’m just too excited to see what creativity you’re going to unleash on the world. 🙂

Until next time…

Keep Tapping!

Thanks for sharing, am very much relaxed now though still watching for what creative abilities might show up.

Hi I’m new to tapping. Art was always my worst subject in school. I was an A student in all my other classes, but I struggled with art. One of the best parts of high school was no longer having a required art class unlike in elementary and middle school. In college the class I ended up taking to fulfill the art requirement was a music history class!

I can be creative in my head, but I have trouble expressing it. I come up with story ideas all the time, but I can’t seem to write the stories. Everything is jumbled up. Also almost everything I managed to write in the past I’m embarrassed about if I reread them. And forget about showing it to anyone else.

Sorry if this comment sounds so negative. Maybe I’m not doing the tapping right but I tend to feel worse after trying to tap because it makes me think about my problems and how everyone else doing the tapping is getting great changes while I don’t. Nothing I do helps me change. I’m terrible.

Hi Aimee. You aren’t doing the tapping wrong. Getting in touch with and acknowledging our issues is a great way to release them. You want to meet yourself where you are and love and accept yourself no matter how you feel. If you feel worse after some tapping, that’s a good indication that you need to do some more tapping on that topping as the intensity has gone up. It’s just feedback, it’s neither good nor bad. We hope you will do some more tapping on this topic and see how it goes. Be kind and gentle and patient with yourself and see what else comes up for you. Here is another blog post with a script that we thought you might find helpful as well: https://www.thetappingsolution.com/blog/the-one-most-important-thing-ive-learned/. We wish you all the best! 🙂

    Hello!

I felt lighter after the session. I typically always do! The message I received was that there are things from my past getting in the way of the flow.

    Thank you for this!

Good exercise to remind our brain and heart that we are creative souls – even when we feel stuck. One suggestion for the transcript (thanks) – please make your type darker as it comes out quite light when printed.
I’m sharing this with a niece in prison as she appreciates reminders on how to keep her outlook more upbeat.

  5. Diane says:

Thank you Nick. I have been having trouble getting back to my craft. This is just what I needed to help me get creative and inspired again.

  6. Carol says:

Thanks for sharing this meditation. I felt a lot of releasing going on with all my yawning! Something was happening! Need to keep at it to get the level up higher. Thanks again Nick.

  7. Aimee says:

Thank you Nick :). It is such a delight to get your “just because” gifts! I enjoyed this one. Went from an 8 to a 5. When I thought to myself at the end of the tapping session if there was anything else blocking my creativity it was interesting that a picture of my stepfather from 30 years ago popped into my head. So I started tapping about that. Tapping is AMAZING! Thanks again for your kindness and generosity. Aimee from CT

  8. Cassie Fishbein says:

I feel lighter, also and await the entrance of a creativity!

  9. Brenda says:

It was what I needed right now and I’m going to continue working on it!

  10. Polly Pearshouse says:

I felt and feel excited about my next painting project, but what also came up was to remember to always have my sketchbook with me wherever I go …… and remember to USE IT! Colours

  11. Peri McQuay says:

For me it’s a wall of not being read after many years of relative success. My work has never been more timely, and gets critical acclaim, but I can no longer get it out there. It’s a marketing challenge. A comfort to see this offering today. Timely. But I need to find a new script for me. I will. And the tapping is helping me grow so much in other ways. I think i have to let
This choose what will happen when, and be open.

Tapping on my feelings of being uncreative were quite revealing and fruitful; i went from a 9 to a 5 with many memories of stuckness and being laughed at. Thank you for this free and private way to resume tapping.
