Tapping Meditation – From Overwhelm to Calm

I’ve got a little challenge for you today

Take FIVE minutes right now…

Choose ONE thing to think about and release, close your eyes, and just tap through all the points.

You don’t have to say anything out loud and you don’t have to get it perfect. Just choose one thing that has been stressing you out or worrying you and start to release it now.

You don’t even have to release all of it. Just start to let it go…

If you want some guidance, here’s a free Tapping Meditation titled “From Overwhelm to Calm”.

Use it whenever life feels like it’s a little too much for you, when you’re overwhelmed by a specific topic or issue, or any other time you’re struggling.

    Thank you Nick. Wow, this came to me at a very overwhelming time in my life. I am moving and do not where I will land in next 30-45 days. Feeling so scared and unsure. I cannot think clearly due to the amount of overwhelm. I was at a 10 on the scale when I started and it has now dropped to a 7, so shall I continue to do this until I can get the number down and feel less anxiety.

    Thank you, so much. this tapping came at the right time. It was 10 and now it is 4.
    I have difficulty finding my words, and you use always the right ones to help me and others like me.
    I needed it, I have something important to do, and this tapping cleared my mind and gave me courage.

    none of this helps me. I lost my husband 9/05/2013, he had colon cancer. I miss him every day. I knew him for 53 years. In Dec. of 2013 we would have been married 49 yrs. No amount of tapping can take that pain, loneliness and missing him away. This doesn’t help

    I have used the tapping procedure or EFT for 8 years and it has gotten me through many tough times whether physical or mental. I just about use it daily especially for daily working and personal stress .

    Nick, thanks so much to you and Jessica – you are both selfless, amazing and inspiring people. In reading several of the comments, I agree with all of them and wish I could say something that would incorporate them all to really let you know how fabulous I think you are.

    I first heard about the principals of EFT many years ago in a class that I was taking where the instructor showed a short video of Roger Callahan working with someone who had a severe cat phobia and it was pretty amazing how quickly he was able to turn that around with her. I then went on to learn EFT through Gary Craig’s manual and tapes and have now been following yourself and Jessica.

    My problem is that although I know something is good for me and will truly be beneficial I tend to self sabotage and not do it – or do something only when I’m so down or so anxious that I feel as though I have no other recourse. I have been feeling such anxiety, depression and all the emotions and physical sensations that go along with that, over the past several days and this morning when I sat down at my computer and saw your email about overwhelm I immediately sat down and did it twice. I went from a 9 to a 6 which has made me feel so much better already.

    I’m 63 and have many issues so it’s very difficult and overwhelming for me to know what I specifically want from life and then to go ahead and know where to start in getting it. My issues boil down to generalized anxiety and an enormous fear of life itself and of not having the self-confidence and the self esteem to be able to deal with much of anything that life throws at me. I know that this overwhelm tapping session is a good place to start and do on a daily basis as are other sessions that address not knowing where to start and what issue to choose when tapping – there’s just so many to choose from-hence the overwhelm!

    Again, thanks so much for this Nick – once again the universe delivers what so many of us apparently need. Sorry for the extra long comment – I guess I just needed to “talk”.

    Thanks Nick, enjoyed the meditation this morning and inserted “guilt” into the mix and have saved it as I will be needing it again for other issues.
    I had released a major old trauma over the weekend with EFT. This meditation has helped clear a lot of the guilt that was still lingering.

    Thank you for this, Nick! I am often overwhelmed with feeling intimidated and disheartened when I see what my peers and colleagues are accomplishing, they not-so-humble brag about it on social media and instead of making me feel inspired to work harder and do better at my own work, I feel tired, intimidated and overwhelmed, feeling like I am not good enough, and why keep trying if I’ll never get to where they are. This meditation helped me get some distance from that, and helped me put the blinders on to all the negative stuff swimming around me. Thank you.

    Nick, as I tapped,it came to me that fear of failure has made me latch onto games that waste valuable time, and that becomes self-fulfilling as I never find all the time to get caught up with my tasks. What a great gift you have given me. And with calmness, I work more efficiently, accomplish much more than I thought possible, I acknowledge the fear, and let it go. Perfection is not required for a good life. Thank you so much.

    I’d love a tapping meditation on hope, acceptance and whatever else you see fit related to love and relationships for people who may able to relate to me, or similar circumstances as me such as being a 41 year old woman who came from love, believes in love, has not been married yet and has not had any children. Wondering when my turn is and if I’ll get a turn. I believe having no man is better than having just any man. It would be wonderful to be in marriage with someone whose mind, heart and soul are available.

    I would welcome short 6-8 minute tapping to allow me to feel more centered, more aware of my internal world as I go about the day. Also, one on holding an aspiration or intention as I start my day so that I can re-tap on it during the day.

    I’ve found The Tapping Solution to be very helpful and effective in immediately lowering my stress level. Completely new to me, but Im familiar with acupressure and understood the connection immediately. It really helps! I still need to get comfortable doing the tapping in front of a mirror as Louise Hayes recommends, , but it works both ways. Thank you Nick and Jessica for the good work you both do! Congrats on your new baby, Nick! So glad I discovered you and this approach to relieving stress!

    As if by magic your e-mail appears and enables me to take time out… I scored a 10 at the beginning of the meditation and at the end a 7. I felt the shift physically no more headache or pain behind my eyes, emotionally I felt the pressure ease – visualising steam coming out – now in this momentI know I have a choice, thank-you for your kindness and time.

    I am age 90, work 3 days a week in a Life Insurance office & tried my first Tapping earlier this month & Wow!!,….no back pain! First time in over 5 years! I’ve been pain free for nearly a month bow, , so I’m sold on Tapping. I have your book & DVD.

    Yesterday I went to the Y for Water Aerobics, then to a Physical Therapy session (for balance), then shopping. By the end of the day I was tired, but had housework to do, so I Tapped for stress, energy & clarity of purpose. Wonderful! At day’s end with a clear home & mind, I slept like a baby.

    I am so fatigued with all that [seems] to be overwhelm! It appears the universe heard me and today I get this email to tap my way from overwhelm to calm. This really works. I am not at zero but my experience in tapping has shown me to be patient. The results are never immediate for me. There may be a slight shift but I could go to bed tonight or wake up tomorrow morning, and I will feel that something has changed, always for the better. Thank you so much for the guiding tapping meditation.

    This morning I have been so overwhelmed with my chronic pains – my whole body aching non stop and the feeling of not being able to have a ‘normal’ life. I adapted this meditation and after following it have reduced my level from 8/10 to 3/10. Will do this meditation daily as I know that I can bring this down to 0/10. Thank you Nick
