These authors are authorities and together … I’m positive this will be a book I’ll read, and re-read, and then do that again. Every one of Debbie Ford’s books are exceptional. I just got the email and watched Jess’ video about this book. Oddly, I was on YouTube at that very moment watching some of Margaret’s tapping videos and thinking how much I respected and loved her work. You guys have both been very instrumental in guiding me to some of the greatest tapping resources and I have deep trust in what you share and I got very excited when I saw Jess’ video. Not sure if I can get the book read overnight, (whew!) but I’m right behind you and can’t wait to hear the interview with Margaret.

I have ordered the book and look forward to read it but I will not get it until beginning of June as I live in Sweden and you can´t buy it here yet . Not even in England! Yes! There has been reference to “core issues”, by different tapping practitioners, in one form of jargon or another. The “shadow” is the invisable “core issue’, or, in other words, the “subconscious” aspect of our minds. Shadow, core issue, or subconscious – the aspect of our psychological-developemental-programming that directs the show while remaining below our conscious level of awareness. Good enough! So the question remains as to whether this book simply anlytically describes scenarios of specific shadows at work ((or at play) in our everyday lives, or……… does it tell us how to identify and feel into our shadows so that we can actually tap on them effectively? That is my big question. If so, then this will be a huge step forward in the human growth movement.

Hi Guys hope you are well.
I have seen the Movie of The Shadow Effect. And I strongly agree with you Jess, it really made me think of situations in my own life that I have struggled with. For example before Christmas I lost over 20 lbs, I looked and felt amazing. I then thought that I would take a few weeks of the diet for the holidays. A week turned into a month and a month turned into three. Now I am practically back to where I was when I first started. I thought the movie was in the same kind of format as The Secret and it gives hints of what could be achieved by doing the shadow work. I would be very interested to find out how the book compares to the movie. And as I watched the movie I could see things that I could use meridian tapping on and I am so grateful for the set up statements that Include; I love, forgive and except myself anyway. I feel like I have been holding a lot of beach ball under the water. Thanks for the good work guys I am still enjoying 2010, WTS.

The shadow is not what we think… We think we are “bad” but really we are afraid to feel all of our feelings, not just the ones we deem “good” but ALL of them.
Only when we feel all of them and allow our true experience to surface can we heal and find new ways to be.
The “shadow” is nothing to fear. Love hides behind that mask. Always.

There is much to gain by reading the book, “The Shadow Effect.” This book captures the aspects of life that I have hidden and try to contain within. The concept of the shadow; what the shadow is; how it shows up in my life, and how it limits me as a human being is defined and made clear by the author Debbie Ford. Deepak and Marianne also share valuable information and insight from their unique perspectives. It resonated with me because I find the complexity and demands of life and work eroding my idea of who I am, and why I am here. I seek to regain a more peace filled life.
Another excellent book to read anytime especially during a relaxing vacation is “Little Gifts of Sustainable Contentment” by C.J. Good. This book, like no other, has me constantly reading and re-reading its pages. What amazed me about this book was that a writer could strike such a deeply-felt chord in me. It’s a roadmap for one’s life journey. So few pages, so many gems.
